Waxing FAQ

Waxing is often regarded as the most efficient technique for permanently eliminating hair from almost any region of the body. Waxing is an epilation process that ensures the full removal of hair shafts from under the skin's surface. As matter of fact, waxing is a semi-permanent hair removal treatment that lasts longer than others.

Glad you asked. A Brazilian wax eliminates all hair from the bikini region to the rear. Some people opt to leave a tiny amount of hair on top after getting a Brazilian wax, but the region around the bikini line is usually completely bare. Each person has complete autonomy in this matter, and your wish is our command.

First-timers might expect a little bit of discomfort, but our estheticians are pros at the Brazilian wax. With our special technique, we guarantee that your Brazilian session will be as comfortable as possible. We're really good with our hands!

If you've been shaving regularly before your initial appointment, we'll be removing a lot of coarse hair. Waxing can be a tiny bit painful at first, but with regular appointments (including your next one), you'll become used to it.

A full Brazilian wax takes around 15 to 25 minutes to complete. So ladies, you better plan ahead of your time.

First of all, congratulations!

That brings us to our second point: you certainly can. However, we advise that expectant mothers consult a doctor first. Extra hair growth is a common pregnancy side effect caused by hormones. We advise waiting until after the first trimester to get your Brazilian wax done.

Absolutely.

Waxing may be quite beneficial for those with sensitive skin if it is done properly. When compared to other techniques of hair removal, such as shaving and at-home depilatories, it is gentler on the skin. However, there is no way to know who will have an allergic response to the wax or any other ingredient. It is crucial that you adhere to the directions in both the pre- and post-waxing guides if you have sensitive skin.

Well, you should avoid waxing, threading, and tweezing for at least two to three weeks before your first treatment. And we highly recommend wearing loose outfits for your sessions. It makes all the difference in terms of comfort.

If you want to give your skin a special treat, exfoliate it with a high-quality body scrub at least 24 hours before waxing to get rid of any dry patches and help bring any underlying hairs to the surface.

A good rule of thumb to live by is if you can EFFORTLESSLY pinch the hair, come aboard! If you just shaved, please wait at least two or three weeks from your session. The ideal length of hair prior to waxing should be at least ¼ inch.

Naturally, a longer length means a more painful session, so please plan your growth ahead.

The sauna, deodorant, and tanning beds should be avoided immediately after treatment and for at least 12 hours thereafter. Throughout your waxing journey, you shouldn't tweeze, shave, or use any other hair removal treatment.

For at least a week, apply aloe vera gel or a moisturising lotion twice a day to the treated area to keep it pleasant and prevent further irritation.

It takes longer for new hair to come back after waxing since the hair is removed from the roots, as we've told you before. New hair typically takes between 3 and 8 weeks to develop, however this can vary widely based on factors such as genetics and skin condition. Typically, after a great wax session, your skin will be smooth and hair-free for a very long time.

As of now, we are unable to accommodate requests for male waxing. Right now, all our love and respect go to the Queens of Malaysia.

But who knows what awaits in the future?
